8. I remember reading about how Suicidal Tendencies were the reason for the crossover in cholo culture with the hardcore scene in American Hardcore by Stephen Bluth. My dad showed me the band when I was like 10 and I still laugh about the Pepsi verse.

10. I am convinced Venom basically started Thrash Metal and proto-Black Metal at the same time with the same album. The album Black Metal is just as fast and heavy as Kill ‘Em All.

13. When I was around the same age in 2012 I discovered thrash through a group of 8th graders who I thought were so cool and edgy. Smoked my first cigarette that year too 😂
