42 thoughts on “Sergeant DEFENDS Citizen From Corrupt Cops

  1. Back2Basic remember I believe everyone needs a little reminding now and then to reset to Back2Basic standards of Truth Morality Is obeying the commandments Ethics is living Do unto others As you would have done unto yourself and Character Is standing on what you say!! Officers on ego trips willing to stand on WHAT They say to bully Free citizens saying no should face consequences!! Just As State prosecutor using coercion to get Free citizens unlawfully arrested to waive their Rights or face malicious prosecutions without probable cause, on All Free citizens saying no or just the disabled people saying no??😊

  2. The you'll speak to the supervisor in cuffs at the jail should have been I'll have a lawyer tear your interaction with me apart and I'm standing on a public sidewalk and the manager has no control over who can and can't bar anyone from using it. And the witness to a crime is bs unless they are talking about their own crime against him. All he's witnessed is the aftermath of the crime ending with the traffic stop. I've been told that i had to turn off my dash cam with threats of arrest. A simple question of would he like for that snippet to get to my lawyer during the lawsuit for unlawful arrest

  3. What is the best way to search out my states laws about these times items, especially when ID is required by law. I do know that Idaho is not a Stop and ID state, but other situation, like traffic stops, etc.

  4. Cops have these private phantasies about what is lawful or unlawful. Obviously, many cops don't understand what "in plain view" means. How does this cop know that this citizen actually saw the crime, or any crime. Looking into someone's vehicle thru an open door is a violation? Sounds weird and stupid. Sounds like the Law Enforcement Agent didn't like being recorded. The citizen who made this video was a pro and a good one too. 👍👍

  5. All the shit about their "ability" to legally arrest him for not identifying "as a witness" is moot imo as the only reason they came up with that shit is to rationalize their wanting to "git him" because he wouldn't obey and move from his spot where he was recording.

The ask for ID was the initial retaliatory action (likely to try to find dirt or a warrant on him to arrest him), and when he refused, they thought up that bullshit (regardless of the arguability in court) to justify their retaliatory arrest.

Also, he was NOT even a witness to any crime. He didn't know anything about what the guy allegedly did until the cop told him… and the cop likely told him BECAUSE he knew the guy wasn't really a witness and divulging that information to him, arguably, made him a witness.

The entire thing after the guy refused to move was retaliatory with rationalizations. Therefore bullshit and the cops are poor examples of cops abusing their authority and driven by ego.

And the others backed him up.

The sgt… I'd give him a worse grade than you did. I think whoever was on the other end of his phone call was likely to credit for it reverting from the retaliation or was, to the "respecting his rights" it tried to act like it was in the end… even in that he kept coming up with bullshit rationalizations for their actions.

Is frustrating to see this kind of stuff. Not only the initial response by the first wrong cop, but the others backing him up. Whomever was on the phone would give me hope, but I imagine even that only de-escalated the situation out of some fear of a lawsuit, rather than them truly caring about people's rights.

Bur admittedly I've been growing cynical about police… trying to curb it but stuff like this doesn't help.

  6. Bro said "I didn't witness the crime"
and the cop replied "I just told you what it was"
So, you just admitted to tampering with witness testimony?

  7. A vehicle is an extension of your house? 🤣
Even is true, if I’m on a public sidewalk and you have your front door open, I can film whatever I can see.

  8. I would have gladly accepted their offer to be a witness, then when called as a witness, I would have brought the evidence, that the cops are acting under color of law, a violation of 18 USC, and they should be prosecuted, as the so called judge has a legal duty to act upon that statement under oath.

  9. I think in the USA there are too many Police and Law organisations. Worse is that the enforcers seem to lack any form of common sense but worse than that it seems that if you open your mouth to say anything a cop will go out of his way to mis-understand, take offense, claim arrest is imminent, and set you up to ensure they get that arrest for no reason. If that doesn't tell you how wrong the USA is I don't know.

  10. 18.3144 specifically states a precondition of an affidavit filed by a party. There was no affidavit filed by a party. It can't be applied to arrest him in this situation, even if he 'witnessed' the crime.

  11. In this case, the crime was not being witnessed. If there was a crime being committed, it happened long before the recording. If he's recording after the cops pulled him over, then the only crimes he's a witness of are those committed by the cops.

  12. Cameras are like spiders. They're everywhere. They're watching us and if you don't see one that means one is probably hiding someplace

  13. Thse cops were not corrupt? Just butthurt/ignorant.
Pretty typical pettit officers really. Theres a resson why the Sgt is a Sgt, and they're not.
