48 thoughts on “Don’t Bring Home New Genetics Until You Hear This – FTS Podcast Ep.255

  1. I am collecting old school genetics, it is imperative to test for hlvd in clone and in seed. I have done a lot of testing and after getting a lot of infected seed from top breeders I moved on to one supplier who’s seeds tested clean ( McCormick, authentic genetics), and all of the clones I get from dispensaries and mail order have been clean except for one dispensarie on the west coast that I drove 10 hours to get to these old school genetics and they tested dirty, I had them quarantined but I still retested everything just in case. So I use the clean regular seed and use the pollen to breed into other old school genetics and some new school, that way I can plant and grow from seed the genetics I want to explore and know it is clean, and I do not need to keep all the of genetics alive. except the main breeders and my favs I must keep alive and pure.

  2. I'm an old-school grower out here in Tennessee in prohibition land I don't even know if y'all even read these but anyways I'd like to let y'all know that all time I've grow n Herb for 52 year and still learn from y'all I'd love to be able to talk with you sometimes.

  3. Всём привет)есть вопрос)почему не получается у меня стрессануть женское растение серебром,и меняю световой день,в чём проблема?всем хорошего настроения удачи)))

  4. I'm more like Robin this woman it's hard for me to get rid of something and I clone everything just in case I don't want to kick myself in the ass later, and there's times it's hard for me to pull something but now that I got my own seeds going on I'm just going to run to him if you don't look right by week 3 or 4 you got to go LOL

  5. please find the old strain named Mikado by federation seeds. it's claimed to be a cross of Sweet Tooth and a Japanese landrace. huge yelder 😅 very fruity and Spivey Terps. had weird auto flower traits. difficult to clone. foot long top cola with single leaf red foxtails

  6. I always try to run a strain for three harvests before I get rid of it. The only time I ever made an exception to that was running Ethos genetics. I tried a few different strains from Ethos and NONE of them had any terps, so I just culled those after a single run and I'll never run Ethos genetics again.

  7. Back home from Michigan.. it was a pretty Kick-Ass trip running up there checking everything out.. took a boat ride downtown Chicago. This community gets me out and doing things. I love it

  8. Just finished growing Agseedco Skunk#1 . Grew some massive nuggets . Things took forever it seemed but both are more of a lemon skunk rather than RKS . Will definitely try em again cus I found the RkS with Agseedco but it was a male and didn’t have the space to flower it to collect the pollen. So I know it’s there in his genetics just gotta hunt it. ( again) . But these are still pretty good. Uplifting cerebral buzz.

  9. i like the jonnyapple seed method …grow it out never cul evin the crabapples make good mash back in the day you had what you had… avabilty of good genedics we have now is crazy old ways still work and never stoped guys #nocull

  10. I feel like i am a good grower, but a better consumer! 😂
I can sit and smoke a whole night and watch everyone arround me sleep! 😅
I think i need the best 10% out there, everything else dissapointed me…
If i get high everyone else get high…some maybe even too much…
A buddy was go down and sayed " please help me"….
I am so sorry for him, he was think he will die and i had to laugh because i was there as i started! 🤣
    Good stuff!
    Growers love 🌱💚🖖

  11. You guys are full of information loving it I'm more of a one and done I have thousands of seeds I need to search through no time to keep one around when from seed every one is different but That's when you got to look for males and herms

  12. 18:46 that’s why when I grow on my roof I make seeds. That way they’re super powerful and they could take even mildew and mold. They could take extreme temperatures. The fan is blowing at the wind burn is not existent.
The only problem I have is like pigeons is saying. Each plant has their own nutrient that they like. Some require more some require less and it’s always good to grow one genetic and one tent and then another genetic in the second tent and then your third tent you could have your seedlings.

  13. As I can respect Pigeons opinion on getting rid of lanky plants that do not work with your training style. I think adjusting your training style to the lanky plant would be a better option. For instance, lanky plants are perfect for a screen of green. As long as you keep that even canopy, and fill up the screen, You can get an awesome harvest. Plus it helps me learn more about growing and how to deal with different phenotypes.

  14. I love making my own genetics so that i created on the roof under high stress levels, Winds to drought extreme heat. And then I put them in my indoor Garden. I have a Male pollen and I make seeds that have less chance to hermi
Every single company I buy from the store I keep getting hermi’s. I guess due to the making them feminized creating a hermi. The seedlings are more prone to being Hermie.
