  1. Got to be careful with those cheap moisture meters, I had a $20 one off Amazon like the one pigeons described. It went out on me in about a month or so and I ruined a grow by overwatering right before flipping. It was only my second try and didnโ€™t know how to tell yet by old school methods. Iโ€™m still haunted by it and itโ€™s always in my head. I believe Iโ€™m still under watering to this day because of it. I have learned not to go cheap, but a good one just isnโ€™t in the budget right now.

  2. I live in the northeast and there are plenty of varieties that suck when grown in heat of summer indoors unless u can keep the environment perfect i have noticed autos particularly deal better and retain flavor even into the mid 90s when most photos aren't happy in those kinda temps. Dont get me wrong they will grow and be good but not great

  3. When I want to see how mature my buds are I switch my phone camera to macro and I take pictures up close. Then I expand the pictures and I can very clearly see the trichomes. I have a little microscope that connects to my phone but honestly it's easier to get good pictures with the cam on macro. You need to hold still for taking the pictures but it's worse with the scope.
Good show fellas. You guys are doing great work.

  5. Minnesota so temp and humidity not really an issue. I run a 4×4 and a 2×4 in my basement. I run the lights later in the day all year. Actually has cut down my heating bill in the winter. I donโ€™t run my ac unless itโ€™s humid so summer I vent out my window and basement cool lung room with or without ac running. Lucky climate I feel for indoor grows

  6. I run my lights the same as Chris with the 6-6 or 12-6 depending on if Iโ€™m in flower or veg. Not only to try to combat climate control, but also not running my lights during peak hours and saving money on my electric bill. My electric company is already crazy expensive so I try to cut that cost any time I can. Iโ€™ve been running my auto on a 20/4 light cycle and I think going forward Iโ€™m going to do an 18/6 for the same reasons.
Up here in Oregon itโ€™s easier to run a warmer tent in the winter because I pull my air in from outside to cool the room down. Also keep in mind if youโ€™re running more sativa dominant strains, they are more acclimated to warmer climates so they can tolerate up to maybe 80-81 degrees, the cool air will also naturally drop the humidity ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿผ
