1. Better entertainment all around than the trash that's put out today. I love every single show mentioned in this video. Three's Company was great, still enjoy it and I still watch Mary Tyler Moore. LOVE IT!!! Ah, the good ole days.

2. Because of how the 1970's were just before the advent of the now-obsolete VCR technology of the 1980's. I am old enough to remember how in the 1970's, if you missed watching something on TV, you missed watching it!

3. I also love the theme songs for a lot of these. I just started watching some episodes of Taxi and they are quite funny… my dad used to watch it late nights, and the opening music reminds me of falling asleep by him on the couch 🙂

4. Don’t forget Barbary jones, where he floated from case to case in a brown Granada. Starsky and hutch with thier red and white Torino. Bj and the bear with his KW cab over. And it’s spin off show, lobo. Oops, don’t forget about chips, and all the cool cars that the 70’s had to offer.

5. I was forced to watch Mash and "Little House" at a few of my jobs …

   I liked them. Mash is funny and "Little House" was cute and kind of sad sometimes.

6. thanks for your videos! i'm a child of the '70s…i've felt quite lucky to be so, as time goes on, i've gotten quite nostalgic about the era…. of the ones you presented, i Loved "Laverne & Shirley"…and "the Brady Bunch". They were all quite great…i don't think i have a favourite per se… the memories are flooding in…really great shows! did i miss mention of "the Facts of Life" (though that's perhaps more '80s?), "8 is Enough", "Columbo", 'Starsky & Hutch" and "Fantasy Island"? anyway, those came to mind…i still watch "columbo" and "S&H" on dvd… w/ my mother…cop shows were her faves…i remember her watching "barney miller" (love that one!) and "Baretta"…and "kojak" sometimes… 😉 lots of good memories…thanks for the videos and sharing!! i'm glad some of these are still on "meTv" and on dvd, etc… aaack! i almost forgot–"the Love Boat"! :)) i echo calls for sequels to this video! 😉 hi to all '70s kiddos! :))

7. The book " Cyborg" by Martin Caidin was what The Six Million Dollar Man was ( loosely) based on.
   I liked " Kolchak: The Night Stalker "…my favorite show at the time.
   Quark was a series about an interstellar garbage truck and its crew.
   Salvage One was another show I liked.

11. Laverne and Shirley's bad season 6, is now defined as 'Jumping the Shark'. It is a term used for bad, last ditch effort, save the franchise, pointless, plot twists inherited from a late season burning episode of Happy Days. While on vacation in, yes, 'California', The Fonz jumps a shark in the ocean on water skis wearing swim trunks, and his leather jacket… Aaaye !!! HAPPY DAYS ended that same season, and The Fonz was no longer cool.
    Ooooh !!!

We were lucky in Portugal, not only did our government imported most of the most famous American TV Series, but also and contrary to most countries outside the US, we saw it with subtitles and not voice doubled, reason why we're a bit better at English than most countries that speak other languages, like Spain, Italy or France. The Man from Atlantis, The A-Team, The Knight Rider, The Dukes of Hazzard, Love Boat, Wonder Woman, Hill Street Blues, Blue Thunder, Starsky and Hutch, Star Trek, Space 1999… It was awesome entertainment.

14. Ah, memories….loved so many of those shows….and most of them can be seen on one or more of the several retro tv channels on cable.

Steve Austin’s craft he crashed in wasn’t a space ship, it was known as a “lift body” aircraft, and was actually a real thing….NASA developed and tested these craft from 1963-1975, in part, as a possible spacecraft, designed to operate similar to how the shuttle did later…although none were ever developed to that 6:34 degree, as far as I know.
    Laverne And Shirley was also a spin-off of Happy Days.
    Mary’s friend was RHODA Morgansrern.

18. I watched reruns of the little house on the prairie in the 90’s and loved them along with 3’s company just recently watched Sanford and son loved the show.

21. You forgot The Partridge Family, Bionic Woman, Starsky & Hutch, Wonder Woman, Police Woman, The Rockford Files, etc, etc….The 70's had great TV. I'm so glad I grew up during that time. So much fun.

24. In the mid 70's one of my favorite shows was Movin' on. It ran for 2 seasons 75 & 76. A show about 2 men and a big green Kenworth truck.Claude Akins & Frank Converse were the 2 main stars. Rosey Grier was also in some episodes.I have 2 DVD sets of this show. I even have a model kit of Sonny Pruitt's truck like the one in the show.

27. As a kid in the late '70s, I was definitely a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica. One could apply the same question posed for one's favorite angel on Charlie's Angel to Battlestar's beauties. For me it was always a tie between Jane Seymour and Laurette Spang. Side note: I always thought Laurette Spang would've made a great angel after Farrah's departure from Charlie's Angel.

28. I've all of those except Little House on the Prairie, not my type of show. Rockford Files, Starsky & Hutch, Emergency, The Partridge Family were also popular.

30. Could All in the Family be televised today? No. Could it possibly be the best show to ever appear on television? Yes!

32. The Roper’s lived downstairs of Janet, Chrissy, and Jack before Mr. Farley (Don Knotts). You totally left them out and they were on for a few seasons.
