4. Interestingly enough from what happened with me, as long as the tranny fluid is just like a golden brown? (idk how to describe the color) and it doesn't look or smell burned, then it should be safe to change or even flush. What you really want to watch out for is when the tranny fluid is burned or it seems like there are particulates floating around. That's when peices of your clutch are in the fluid and you'll cause more slipping. Changing the tranny fluid or flushing it (they were described as different processes) can actually help make the transmission work a little better at least with my car it did.

30. I bought my Suzuki the tranny fluid stink. So I didn't pay any attention to the myth and I literally took the Hose loose Going from the transmission to the radiator. And I literally poured 6 qt of transmission fluid into the transmission as I allowed it to run out Until it came out. Clean. Hooked it all backup drove it around. Recheck the level and adjusted it After driving it several times. I put a 100000 miles on it since then I think I need to Do it again it's acting the same way Is hard shift.
