  1. Scent is, in many ways, more evocative than sight. I can vividly remember the perfumes I wore in the 60s. The OVERPOWERING musk colognes of men. God, they bathed in that crap.

  2. How about the smell of those blue plastic statuettes from Disney World. They came in the shape of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald Duck, Pluto…

  3. Tosca Perfume company made a designer scent called 4711 that was awesome n there was nothing that could compare to Chanel No. 5, which my Grandfather Locher used to give each woman in the family when they turned 13 yrs old till he died, which was a total right if passage gift we were anxious to graduate up to!! Also, patchouli oil was the best scented oil bought in the head shops of the 1970's, basically because if it's scent being the closest thing to the scent of marijuana back then!!! N yes, Clairol Herbal Essence Original scent was never duplicated. It should also come back!!;;White Rain Shampoo n Hair Spray had Totally Awesome Hold in the late 1970's early 1980's that came in Apple Scent or Peach Scent n they were smaller thinner cans of aerosol hair spray that could fit in your purse easily n was not sticky or funky n held your hair up all day!!!; There was a deep blue coloured shampoo called Rain that actually smelled the closest to fresh rain scent ever made, which is next to impossible to duplicate, that I used to buy up all the sample sizes Arbor Drugs had for sale, till it disappeared!!! I wish that would be brought back as well. Gotta hand it to still my most favourite hair spray to this very day, Aqua Net, which is still the best holding most affordable aerosol hair spray ever made. It is in a shorter, thinner can now, but still under $3.00 a can n there is no better holding hair spray n I am from the 1980's rat the hair up high n spray, spray, spray era, which I still do to this day n I am 65 yrs old!!! Lots of rockers in the 1980's used it n called it Aqua Helmet cuz of it's ab fab staying power. Thank you for still making it.!!!

  4. A very memorable 1970's smell was part of two different hair lightening spray on products that you would like eave in your hair and go out in the sun all day, which, when combined with Lemon Go Lightly or Sun In spray on lighteners, had a distinct smell I will never forget, n t am 65 yrs old!!!! Totally Awesome Hold hair spray came in apple n peach n was the best hair spray ever!!! They need to bring it back!!!

  5. When anyone got a cold at my house my mom would put TERPINTINE on rags in every room in the house. She said it was supposed to keep down the germs.

Your nose might be stopped up but you could smell that stuff. Lol!

  6. Calgon take me away…….back to 1977 and leave me there. lol. My father used English Leather cologne and he always gave me the box it came in to play with. He also used Bruit. I loved how it smelled.
