0:00 Intro
0:05 The shop just ended up installing a brand new driveshaft for the customer.
0:14 Phone cord was behind the steering wheel, making it hard to turn/stiff. The technician removed the phone cord behind the steering wheel and the issue was fixed.
0:29 This must have been making noise for quite a while for the caliper and caliper bracket to be ground down this much. This was also on a DRW (dual rear wheel) truck. Scary they were driving around with no brakes. The technician also mentioned the whole front end was worn as well (ball joints, tie rods, etc.)
0:43 Older Lexus (don’t remember the model). Hopefully, the customer lifts the vehicle back to stock height before they cause even more damage to their car.
1:03 Coolant leak from the radiator + water pump was the issue.
1:12 The technician said this car does not come with a spare tire from the factory, so AAA/roadside installed a random spare tire the customer had in their trunk. The spare tire is too small so the inside of the wheel was grinding against the brake caliper and they also managed to break two wheel studs in the process.
1:27 This engine (1.8L) is non-interference from what I was told, so if the timing belt broke the engine would have been okay. Either way, good thing they came in for a new timing belt. Also as mentioned it’s a VW Gol and not a Golf. You can find more information about it here – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Gol
1:36 You can purchase batteries that have side posts (common to see on GMs) + top posts. In this case, that’s the battery the customer installed but they mounted it on its side for some reason, which then caused the battery acid to leak onto the plastic transmission pan cover. Over time it damaged the transmission valve body and caused most of the fluid to leak out. They also used a screw for the one battery terminal.
1:50 This was on a Honda Jazz/Fit.
1:55 The technician said the customer installed a used clock spring which was the incorrect one which caused all of these issues to happen afterward. The correct clock spring was installed.
2:03 Good thing to get an inspection done before buying a vehicle and making sure it has all the features/functions you want.
2:11 Outer tie rod end nut was loose + upside down.
Tie-rod end looks like it needs to be replaced as well.
2:21 Shop told the customer they won’t install new brakes unless they got new brake rotors, so the customer got new ones installed.
2:32 In this case the cylinder head will need to be replaced as the bolt
the customer installed is too long/big and damaged the side of the cylinder head where oil passes through.
2:40 Mercedes-Benz (did not mention model). The customer’s insurance company got all of the damages repaired.
2:51 No extra info.
3:02 Outro. Thanks for watching!

2:51 Not only do you need to be concerned with distracted driving, but now distracted working. These smartphones are a curse.

That fine driveshaft repair looked so unbalanced my ipad shook while viewing the pics
It's unbelievable how dumb society has become
Customer states -I’m not very smart.
Lol I swear you can't make some of the stuff up 🙄😂. Talk about redneck trying to be crafty where he shouldn't be crafty lol.
Maybe I stopped riding motorcycle for a reason.
Why am I watching this?
Thank the gods that timing belt was reply
humanity is doomed
1:50 how much is that approximately? Anyone know?
How the hell do you not realize when a car is slanting on its side when ITS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU???
If ignorance was painful I would sell lots of morphine..
That guy that welded that is a complete idiot,,big time
Not even mad about the fan shroud tire.. lol
I love the rusty screw spacer on the battery, nice! Cheap bastard couldn't even spring for a SS screw after a 100 note on a new battery, tisk tisk!
Who needs bearings? Just more moving parts to fail.
Worst I ever did with a lift was raise a van into the glass bay door that was above it. Broke out 3 or 4 panes. Ooops lol
Hmm, a pile of small unmarked bills 🤔🤔
That’s almost as bad as the stick weld exhaust
1:03 well it ain't stupid if it works
I am at a loss for words, on how some people manage to drive, and not kill themselves, being so ignorant of common sense.
That's not welding
Idk how people can keep driving while missing a caliper bracket bolt. I lost one once and the noise I heard immediately made me pull off and I ended up replacing the bolts on the side of the road lol. The sound of caliper grinding the wheel is one of the worst mechanical sounds ive ever heard
1:30 Owner is lucky it's a gasser. Had it been a diesel & that belt had gone while driving they'd be out a motor.
I don't know why but I get a kick out of "customer declined all repairs"
Idiot's lol
I am happy that where I live we have mandatory state inspections on all road vehicles.
@ 2:40 That pice of metal is called a wedge used by loggers hammered into a cut in a tree to force the direction of the fall or relieve tension on the saw.
I bet there are a ton of yee yee trucks on the road where they think their truck is 4wd and it’s not
The tire fan shroud was a nice touch
