What’s behind the rise & fall of CKY? I talk about: their breakthrough via Bam Margera (Jess Margera’s brother) and “96 Quite Bitter Beings”; “Infiltrate Destroy Rebuild” & “Can An Answer Be Found”; Deron Miller leaving the band to do 96 Bitter Beings and World Under Blood; the Jess & Chad Ginsburg lineup and CKY’s lasting influence.

you were right about being diagnosed autistic recently lol. let's just within 20 milliseconds go from a sentence into an ad with no pause or mention that you are advertising. lmaoooo become more likeable if you want to be a public figure.
Saw them back in 2018. Probably the worst live show I've seen. Necrogoblicon opened up for them and were awesome, so I don't know what the hell happened. Cky didn't totally suck, but I'm pretty sure the goblin dude from necrogoblicon messed with the p.a and cranked the bass way up so it sounded like the loudest fart in the world blaring in my face for an hour n 20 minutes. All in all, me my wife and our friends were pretty fucked up that night, so it wasn't too bad. Still, worst show I've ever seen. Totally bummed about it too as a huge CKY fan since they first came out on the landspeed vids
saw cky with and without deron, and was like night and day
“Disengage the Simulator” one of my all time favorite jams by CKY 🤘🎸
If you don't like the "n" word I highly recommend avoiding rap music.
Cky was more than a band they were an entire crew.
I really want to say something as a fan of the channel and someone who's been a subscriber for 5 years now I think. I really miss your old style of content. And that's not saying the new content isn't entertaining, it is. But, that's not what drew me to this channel. You are very entertaining Finn, but I felt the content was so much more valuable as a resource to underground musicians and just people who want to pursue things in music. I thought you covered things that we actually could very much take away from and build off of to better ourselves and what we do. The whole f*** crab mentality thing was a huge thing that I still stand behind. I just wish that we got more stuff centered around that again. I don't mind the history of bands because I do feel we can take stuff away from that, I get dissecting beefs when they happen like the Corey Taylor MGK thing, and the reteospective on trends is always helpful, but I feel like there has been something missing for a while. I hope you take that just as my personal critique and not as a f you. I still very much appreciate what you do, especially all the stuff outside of the punk Rock MBA.
On a different note, as someone who wasent a part of skate culture or a fan CKY, this was an interesting video
I bought the landspeed video from bam margera out of his trunk in the parking lot of a local pa skatepark
gonna go watch the documentary now like the 500th time
I.D.R is 1 of the best albums ever….1 of about 20 albums that I can listen to from 1st to last song without skipping 1 song
I love CKY, they have some killer albums.
3:43 that dude eats shit so bad lol….terrible road rash lol
Fucking loved this band growing up.
To this day, all this band is known for is one riff, their logo and the fact Bam was the drummer's brother. I knew tons of kids who wore their merch but none of them bothered to actually listen to them lol
I miss these guys and the CkY crew so much.
2000's.
I still own the CKY2K video from back in the day. Me and my buddies worshipped the attitude and shenanigans from the get go. You have to grow up sometime though …
Have u done a "Boy Sets Fire" feature yet?
It would seem like if the lead singer of three days grace ever quit that deren Miller would be a suitable replacement.
What happened to CKY is a question asked by tens of people.
Feckoff with you squarespace ads
I think their 2nd album was great but as a band overall they were a bit limited, kinda one dimensional. I never viewed them as band that would stick around as popular for a long time
Carver city wasn’t bad, definitely some good songs on it. When I was a kid I wore tf out of IDR
Loved cky back in the day really glad that Darren made a new band that has that old cky sound, tried listening to the new cky lineup and it just wasn’t the same also love that Darren’s new band is called 96 bitter beings lol
Thank you for this- Deron Miller is one of my biggest musical inspirations, but he is such a dick.
I loved this band so hard beyond the bam connection it's a shame they fell off
I.D.R is a bona-fide classic. I've still got the dvd somewhere that has all the videos they done for each song on that album. Totally agree that all Deron CKY stuff is great music.
Bernadette Nere!
What would they sound like if they didn't break up? Easy answer, anyone that's heard both 96 Bitter Beings albums knows that's exactly what CKY would sound like.
Saw them once in Philly about 10 years ago, and once at Snowshoe, WV 2-3 years ago with Chad on vocals. Both times they were great.
interesting he didnt mention Haggard the Movie or Gnarkill!!!
Good band, but Inhuman creation station was the only one I liked. And the gg allin covers.
There's another band 96 Bitter Beings that is CKY but different name. Same guy playing and singing. If you're a cky fan, you'll love it.
Okay, with Chad being the band's producer before becoming an actual member… In my opinion, conflict of interest. Unless you're a Butch Vigg type.
