When a slick idiot wants to put a regid definition in place, he is a scammer. You're not going to "teach" me how you're not technically a scammer. GTFOH.
Dear Spencer, I've been consuming your content since the very beginning and as you can tell from the comments on your recent videos there is a sense of discomfort among your followers. For what I understand you've joined an agency that helps you grow your channel and find sponsors, since then your content shifted somehow. Now you've promote some shady companies and "confronting" some questionable reputation individuals. I'm no youtuber but as a businessman let me give you a piece of advice. People followed you because we found value in your content. Listen to your customers, ask them why they follow and if you still identify with the answers then build on top of that. In my case I found your quest of debunking gurus and scams very entertaining as it was backed up with facts and rigor. It's understandable if you're looking to reach a different audience and if that's the case the best of luck man.
lol this prick scammed so many ppl like myself. Him and his staff promised me 10 YouTube monetized channels for 50k. Gave him 50k and nothing happened.
Right. Right. Right. Right. Right.
He’s either talking about kody or Chase those who I seen n I wanted to invest 20k for the a channel never did tho in 2019
Rigghhhhhtttt right right
I hate it when people say "right" after nearly every sentence.
As a business owner, most people do not own a business. Therefore they don't understand how to set one up or run one. A lot of people I just don't tell anything to about my day to day because their unwarranted advice is just dumb and nonsensical
I don’t think he’s a scam just have a good idea and teaching people.. you have to pay to play and if your don’t follow the steps you fail , that’s your problem not his.
These youtubers know how to talk,he talking like he's on a race track. It's all part of the game.
You didn't "confront" anybody. You asked softball questions, and "advertised without advertising" his website, likely as a condition for the interview.
This guy sounds like a a scammer:
▪︎ Creating his own definition of words that magically do not include his business
▪︎ Name dropping to create credibility
▪︎ Not name dropping people "I'm not going to say who it is" to create imaginary connections to people who the audience assumes are a credible person but the name is kept super secret
▪︎ Minimizing the amount of work required to truly create a financially successful. Notice he kept talking about having a team that costs money
▪︎ Mentioning the ability to make six figures in income
▪︎ Using new agey terms like "abundance mindset" just like Tony Robbins. Those terms tell the consumer they don't have a six figure income because they come from a "scarcity mindset" and that they need to spend their money with this program to show they are now acting from an abundance mindset and they have broken free
▪︎ Minimizing the real risk of risk
▪︎ Asking the consumer to read the small text when the big text promises the opposite of the small text. Why can't the big text say what the small text says in more detail
▪︎ Using "potential" daily income as the marketing income bar instead of using the median daily income that is reachable by most users
▪︎ Creating a product that makes you feel embarrassed to say you don't have the money. You'll go get a loan – secretly – and now your money is gone and you have to repay the loan
▪︎ Creating a feeling of a new found camaraderie with people who wouldn't be talking to you unless you paid for their coaching
▪︎ Continuing to make promises of success even though they're is no guarantee of success and they're is no refund. Making the promises of success always come with the consumer having to buy more coaching
▪︎ Promising fast money
A bad product is a scam if the delivered product is not executable. Every product must be able to be used for its intended purpose. Intent is not needed.
All content is going to become more & more broadly homogeneous with this kind of business model.
He took his last $200 and spent it on a 15 min conversation with a "guru"? Bullshit
What he said about Jake Tran couldn't be further from the truth. When he outsourced the narration to another person. He lost viewers and the comments were filled with complaints. He just recently came back to start narrating again
Anna Oop is not an automated channel. Anna Oop is a media production company that had investment money from early on and could pay a team of writers/researchers, animators, and voice talent. It became successful because a team of people can churn out high production quality content multiple times a week – more uploads get you promoted in the algorithm, high production quality gets people to keep watching (though they lost some viewers when it was discovered how they operated – it broke some viewers' trust as they very much presented themselves as a two person operation).
That is not automation. That is just being a capitalist. An investor. Someone with money who can pay other people to do things and collect the profit. It is out of reach for anyone who doesn't already have a significant amount of capital, and calling it automated is misleading, people expect automated things not to require employing human beings. I just wish these guys would be as enthusiastic about establishing the definition of "automated" in their ads as they are about establishing the definition of "scam" when called out.
Till this day the best blueprint is to get a contractors license, find you some good Mexican construction workers. Find jobs and of course America loves low wages aka Mexicans so you use that blueprint as well.
he moves his hands alot thats a tell that he's lieing
Ah yes, He owns multiple channels that have collectively made over a million dollars but can’t show or name a single one of the channels. Its the equivalent of me saying I own a $1M SMMA and when you ask me where it is, I refuse to show you or tell you the name
I couldn't watch this sleazeball and had to exit video.
lol starting an interviews with everyone's personal opinion on what a scam is, is wild.
His examples had nothing to do with the topic he was defending
confronted
meet (someone) face to face with hostile or argumentative intent.
Umm, yeah, I'm out!
You NEED to get into this saturated market RIGHT NOW
You wanna make $100k? Save $10 every day for a year. Youre welcome.
dude, so happy I stumbled upon your channel man. Not because of me wanting to be in any game, but you approach everything with an open mind, have amazing questions, and do the work to drill down on all these people. Your are a great analytical mind that does great content. Keep up the great work.
This is why youre losing views. Is anybody trustworthy on YT anymore? Damn shame, you used to be someone I pointed people to, to watch out for scams. Now it seems youre apart of the grift club. Live your life bro, do you. But the golden, silver and even bronze age of YT is over now. Only about money for most of it now.
The art of knowing how to B.S.(smoke and mirrors for sale!)
DEVON CANUP IS A YOUTUBE AUTOMATION SCAMMER. I HAVE RECEIPTS.
Nice interview can’t understand why everyone is angry…we don’t need to be an angry mob everytime lol
Notice how the guest said, "Make 6 figures on their LIFETIME". He didn't say "A Year", he said LIFETIME – Ouch.
the problem with 99% of guru is not that they succeed or can they you to succeed, the problem is they skew the number, their entirety of they money making scheme is to sell extremely expensive course and promote "you going to get rich" kind of idea, when in fact the course is not more special than ANYTHING you could find online and they false inform you on stuff like "just recreate this" and this and youll be rich…
This guy just talked in straight circles. If you can’t say how your business works and how you make money in 2-3 lines. Your business doesn’t work.
He literally just pulled a Caleb Maddox on you Spencer
does anyone else hate when people say "right?" alot?
Often these extremely trendy and easy/derivative ideas in the market get saturated really quick. It’s the same thing with “automated audio books” or “drop shipping” these ideas are actually profitable and easy at the start, but quickly people catch on and the market gets saturated. Then the real money becomes selling the idea and how to do it to people late to the gold rush, and even if these channels don’t have “faces” there is quite clearly alot of effort and a personality behind them, if not they have fleeting success. Like what he described wasn’t easy, it sounded like alot of risk and difficultly, which I can respect but it’s not what he advertises potentially hundreds a day with 30 minutes of work, even Ai channels often have scripts or carefully made prompts with a lot of creative work put into them.
This guy can talk and say nothing
