The Resnicks are a Billionare power couple who’s names have escaped the headlines until recent months. Ever since the 2025 California fires, people have been asking questions about how they could use so much water in a drought ridden state. What follows is a twisting story of power, influence and a willingness to do anything to keep it.

32 thoughts on “Why California Sold Its Water to Two Billionaires

  1. From Fiji, they have bribed the current govt here and enjoy zero tax for the last 2 years now until the next 8 years. Imagine countries largest export making billions in profit but paying zero tax. (All after secret meeting in US with the current PM)

  2. There is no doubt that the almond growers have been getting preferential treatment. If you want to stop that, stop voting for the one party state of the democrats, because that is where the money has been going.

At the same time, its a bit rich to call them "stealing the water and selling it back to Californians". California law from a long time ago gives water rights to landowners, and they are within their rights to sell it back to anyone they choose. Don't like the law? Change it. But don't count on the paid for single party state to do that.

  3. Be mad at the Resnicks, but don't be distracted from the fact that LA burned NEXT TO THE FUCKING OCEAN.
A lack of water wasn't the issue.
A lack of willingness to use ocean water is.

  4. Every point you make seems baseless and lacking anything credible. You say"manipulated" but you haven't outlined any crimes. Have you ever heard of libel? I started watching this video hoping to learn something, instead I found leftists attacking rich people with baseless claims. Is the water properly managed? Probably not. Do farmers in California feed much of the nation? Yes. Your accusations seem more like accolades. I hope your libel impacts your channel, your don't deserve the reach you have.

  5. ✅ TRUTH IS KING. BUT, LETS EXPLORE THE NON SENSE. ARE WE REALLY GOING TO BLAME POOR INFRASTRUCTURE ON SOMEONE ELSE? SURPRISE ENDING… Rebuilding to new fire standards is THE solution to ‘mass proximity fires’. It’s a paradigm shift. Like the MGM Fire in Las Vegas in 1980. Las Vegas adopted new Fire Code and Building Requirements. Today its safety record speaks for itself. Even farther back, the great Chicago Fire of 1871, the new buildings had to be stone or brick. This opened up sleepy towns in nearby suburbs to open quarry mines for lime stone cut into blocks. This was over 150 years ago. The Wild West has a tremendous use of ‘wood frame homes’ which occurred for two reasons. The abundance of trees and the scarcity of anything resembling brick manufacturing (mainly out east) is why many California residents sit in proverbial ‘wood tinder boxes’.

What we see in history is a sudden horrifying mass event. This suddenly employs engineers to swoop in and come up with new standards. If you are to build, these are the minimum Codes to build to. These Codes had to address local available resources so affordability comes into the equation. Today we can transport any building supply far more efficiently thanks to our highways and international trade. A fireproof structure standards are already available and it has nothing to do with water rights. This video suggests a successful farmer of mass is responsible for a mass fire across town. It does NOT add up and for Building Code Standards. Ask, what on earth does this farmer have to do with residential building Codes? Nada!

Now for the SURPRISE ending. In the 1960’s (then Standard Oil known today as ExonMobil) paid for a ‘no matter what the outcome, find out if the use of petroleum related use to the environment’. The results were devastating and it was kept secret. It’s easy to suggest strongly that the ‘conditions’ were use of petroleum caused climate change. So, do we hold the oil industry SOLELY accountable? Or do we blame seriously biased PAID media (propaganda) diluting the message? Or, the Politicians who either did favors to industry during calm times, only to stand up for action after a disaster? We could blame many but some more than others.

The fact is we evolve. Politicians love to blame someone else for our woes. The fact is, we need to grow up and take personal responsibility for what we do regardless of our own ignorance. Stop gas lighting yourself to always believe someone else is to blame when it’s evolution scorching the earth and man rebuilding it. Grow up by learning is the simple message. We also need to drop the attitude of taking sides for old ‘belief sake’ like it’s a badge of honor. The fact is if you are not open to the truth the only badge one deserves is ‘biased by ignorance’.

STOP LISTENING TO NARRATIVES AND DIG FOR TRUTHS. The US is $36 TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT. Ronald Regan’s ‘reward the rich with tax breaks and We The People (workers) will get the “Trickle down effect”. That was so literal it’s devastating. Moms had to also get into the work force to pay the light bill. The middle class wealth has transferred to the rich with lousy pay, the trickle down from Ronald Reagan. The US has been looted and the few ultra wealthy are not wanting to pay their fare share of taxes. Stop listening to narratives ‘telling you how to think’. FIND TRUTH through debate by people on different side who are experts, not some silly newscaster. Grow up more informed and less automatically biased. It’s healthy and wise.

  6. Another case of Blaming the successful for the Failures of Government.
The Farm Family Smartly assured their Lands would be protected even from Drought and Government stupidity.
Meanwhile Ca.Government has Failed to meet the Water needs of the Population for Decades, coming up with Excuse after excuse for their Failures.
They have drained Wetlands for Real Estate, Ignored needs to upgrade and add Reservoirs for storage, diverted Trillions of gallons back into the Pacific, Failed repeatedly at desalination projects, Failed to divert Waters across the state to areas in need.
    FACTS Matter!
