48 thoughts on “Why Hip-Hop Doesn’t Respect J. Cole Anymore

  1. Hip-Hop or you and some of the jokes called reactors? How many Hip-Hop heads have spoken about this matter? How many of those who have promoted the genre has given their takes on the matter? Who are the influential voices? A very biased intro you have there, man. And you are saying Hip-Hop like a few determines the majority. And to see that you are even misconstruing the videos you are referencing is sickening. Listen, man, in all of this, we hope to see J Cole come up with one of the best work of arts ever heard. From this fire, we hope to see refined gold. So, I believe the hate and demeaning reactions he is getting right now is needed as fuel to make him be his best and nothing less. And I know even the haters and critics alike are going to acknowledge that fact when it happens (even more after The Fall Off) That's what's up. Mark this.

  2. J.cole let the pressure of being called the conscious rapper who makes music that has a so called depressive undertone get to him by doing all these unusual features and making an album (off season)with predominantly trap beats and the use of similar flows . That's when his ride or die core fanbase was feeling disconnected from who they always "knew" him as

  3. J Cole is just as nice as he was before…..he's just not the GOAT. He put himself in a position to be challenged and when it happened, he ducked out.

  4. People who “don’t respect” Cole is the problem within this world.
if taking a personal stance on a situation that you know can get you a whole lot of flack isn’t admirable, coz “it’s not hip-hop”, and that it’s more cool to be a grown man beefing with other men instead of moving in silence like a real G. – then yeah, I guess Cole isn’t your type of artist.

  5. To this day, non-thinking rap fans still don’t realise that he stepped out of that beef because he realised it was being manufactured by record execs behind closed doors. It became more clicks & views instead of a real battle of penmanship.

  6. Y’all don’t understand the beef w him and Kendrick was never real to begin with. Kendrick himself said “this was supposed to be a friendly exhibition within the game” until drake messed it up. That’s why Cole backed out, bc he realized it became serious between Kendrick and drake, and never wanted to actually beef with people he is friends with and respects.

  7. Stop this lame s*** know good and well he should be respectful of to even speak about what he’s saying cause Cole is very conces and soul crushing music and outside of music stop it stop it now

  8. All I'm saying is, if Drake or Kendrick did this hoe ass soft shit and apologized, this would be a WHOLE nother mood and energy, that's why I call bullshit on some of the Cole fans. You can't claim something and day you the best for 15 YEARS and do shit like this bruh. It's not good, REGARDLESS of who does it

  9. No reason why Cole lost respect is cause he was talkin hot for a min saying he the best and anyone can come get it. Then when Kdot fired shots first mind you Kdot fired shots first he apologizes for replying what in the pussy shi is that lol😂 J cole looks like a guy who was talkin that tuff talk but when it came down to it he back down scared J cole can never be the greatest.

  10. Has less respect. Not no respect. No one doesn’t respect j cole. This past year has made a lot lose some respect, me personally I was disappointed in a few things he did this year, but I don’t not respect cole. I still respect cole more than 99% of the history of rap. He’s literally a 1%er when it comes to being respected in hip hop

  11. The Muhammad ali bar isn't even a diss and kendrick is a petty guy also its like michael jackson being the greatest artist thats still subjective and not all people believe that

  12. Cole was the main reason Kendrick got discovered by Dr. Dre, he always loved and respected him from the start. Never had the animosity worth a fake diss battle.
