The value of anything is based upon someone opening their wallet and buying it. Is their an idiot that is willing to set 1 million dollars on fire for a certificate of destruction parts car? If there is he or she would not be a millionaire for very long making decisions like that. If you really want to find out the value of this wreck ask mister wonderful I am certain he will be able to give you the exact value of this rolling carbon fiber thing with wheels attached to it. 19. I mean, it’ll make good content that literally no one else in the world will have, barring another P1 getting wrecked in a storm, so there’s that. But as he says, the revenue from all those videos and sponsors and such, may not be enough to cover the cost of the rebuild. He will have a “custom” P1 after all is said and done, but the then what? If he plans to keep it forever, then the point is moot; he’ll have his very own P1, albeit one with a sketch history. But as far as ever selling it, a potential buyer will be better served finding another used one that hasn’t been under water. Even if this car appreciates to F1-levels of $20-30 million, this particular one never will, considering it’s VERY-well documented history. They’ll never be able to get it serviced by McLaren because the factory won’t take on the headache or liability of working on a car that has been completely pieced together from the ground up, including the tub. Basically, he’ll have this car forever. Forever ever? Forever ever.
