4. Apart from The Beatles. I can't think of another band where the band highlighted each of the 4 members. it's normally just the lead singer and the amazing guitarists that get the lime light. KISS broke the mould. The singing Bass player and the drummer became highlighted as well. Pete was right at the time…but he was just a drummer, it could have been any drummer…but making a character, giving him a cat like persona elevated his status. The real magic came from Gene & Paul's songs mixed with Ace's sensational, perfectly sounding solos. That was the KISS Sound. OK, lots of drugs, alcohol and destructive issues meant the band couldn't stay together as the Original 4 . But that era and foundation of KISS was why I became a KISS fan and I've been a supporter of All things KISS to this day.

5. I agree that PS didnt have to say what he said. But Pete cant play anymore, and some of the audio of the last few concerts on the Farewell Tour with the 4 originals were just awful. When Singer took over in Australia, it sounded so much better. Right now the concerts sound awesome.. Its easy for people to hate on Gene and Paul…as fans have their favourites…and Ace is a HUGE favourite….unfortunately or fortunately, regarding a lot of Ace's fans, Ace could never do anything wrong…he could join the Nazi party, talk to Aliens, not rock up to practice or studio sessions.He could do some pretty bad, disgusting things…and fans would still say hes the coolest…it's Gene&Paul's fault…they are the bad guys.

12. Kiss was everything to me as a kid and to see jealously, greed and just downright childish behavior ruin my childhood memories. Ace was and always will be the most talented member of that band and Gene and Paul should be ashamed of what they turned the once greatest band (at least live) into a tribute act.

13. They said they were retiring in like 97. A lot of other older bands have followed this trend. Announce farewell tour, have reunion tour, rinse and repeat….

18. Final shows ??? How many times have we heard that from bands? Was never a Kiss fan but did like a couple of songs way back in the 70s.Ace was my fav.

22. Ace and Gene have behaved horribly to each other for decades now. I lay odds that neither Ace or Peter will be onstage during final 2 shows.

    Sad but I got to the point I didn't even want to be in same room as my old bandmates. We all knew each other from age 6

27. I am a KISS fan and sometimes I think all the DRAMA might just be a WORK to build publicity. I mean think about it when ACE left the band it didn't make a difference sure some folks may of stopped being a fan but the majority was still there. Some folks of course with side/support Ace in his solo career. Now think about it what better way to help ACE's solo career than by making up Drama between the two of them which can gain him fans and eyes on product. I bet Gene and Ace laugh about this plan working. Now we take the current situation what better way to sell those last few shows out than with some DRAMA and the notion the original band may do those final shows.
