How stupid work very hard to become something and then just end it and waist talent. And then keep fans waiting all these years. Thanks for the songs you have given us but move on now!
The band without serj as a vocalist would be so strange
Bottom line this is about ego and greed. At first things were cool until the checks started coming in and that’s when it became a problem. And sorry to say it but outside of Serj first album the rest are whatever. At this point this is only being brought up to get people to read an article when at the end of the day it’s the same thing over and over again.
Nothing about this is a revelation, they've been dealing with these creative differences for 18 years, it's a damn shame as they're absolutely brilliant but it's about as plausible as Dave Mustaine taking over for Kirk Hammett.
Life is too short to wait around for something that isn't working to work, they should do what they feel is best and people should respect and accept that decision.

No album since 05'. Not expecting much at this point.
I'd love to see SOAD come back. Even if it means a different singer. As long as the overall sound of the band stayed the same.
SOAD is my favorite band of all time, but I've given up on them. They don't get along and it's very clear that they will never get over their issues. And even if they do, it won't be the same. The 2 new songs were amazing but you can tell the magic is just not there anymore
Daron sucks without Serj. Fuck System of a Down if it comes back without all of the original members.
I understand where John is coming from and I love Serj Tankian and his voice is so unique and its a huge part of why the SOAD is as great as they are but yes!
as a long time fan it sad and super frustrating waiting for them to agree and drop a new album cause there are all getting older and I would hate for a member to die before we get a new album.
I wouldn’t mind if they moved on from Serj. He was an awesome vocalist 20 years ago but he’s not that good anymore
I was content with them being disbanded in 05. If they put out music today I doubt it would be great and its just not going to live up to the music they made 20 years ago.

I wouldn't mind scars on Broadway being the permanent successor to soad as long as everyone is happy doing there own projects and remain friends that's all that matters and i wish them all the best on whatever they decide to do in there respective careers 🤘
Darren is not the singer that serj is. They work best when they do melodies etc together so I don't think I would like system without serj. I didn't really like scars, which is basically the same thing
They were once my favorite band, but I've moved on and have discovered far more talented musicians since their last album dropped in '05. Their existing work doesn't hit the spot like it used to anymore either. Their two new songs in 2021 were underwhelming at best too. Just more of Daron's whiny caterwauling that I disliked in Mesmerize and Hypnotize.

they need to just call it quits. it was a great run they had with some amazing records but i just don't think they are that interested anymore.
