42 thoughts on “Cop Gets Caught Lying By His Own Body Camera

  1. Oh, here’s a great idea. Let’s needlessly harass the folks who have made up the economic backbone of this entire region for nearly two centuries.

  2. Ignorant cops are as bad as corrupt cops. If youre gonna police in a rural area, you need to know the basics of livestock. I cant count how many times there have been loose cows or horses or sheep on the roads in my general area

  3. Earning the hate.
    Does he lie in court?
    Does he lie on reports?
    You can count on it.
Petit has utter contempt for hardworking citizens!
Petit should be fired especially with his body worn camera evidence!

  4. In Canada police are “legally” allowed to lie. They have qualified immunity. Their associations have more power than police managers.
It is impossible to fire a bad cop unless they get caught and charged for their crimes and put in prison!
They get more than$100k per year.
They swear to protect and serve the king and his heirs NOT we the people.
When they are suspended they get full pay to stay home and watch The View.
Some have been on these paid vacations for 9 years waiting for court!

  5. As a firefighter in a mostly rural area, I am disgusted by this cop. Obviously we can't work with the roads blocked, but I didn't observe a single blocked road here. Seems to me if working traffic control during a brush fire, with clean air and no danger "stresses you out," you probably shouldn't be a cop. We protect Life AND property, which includes livestock. If they ain't in my way, let the ranchers save their stock.

  6. smh, messing with a Texas rancher saving their livelihood. Only reason that road going through their ranch is probably immanent domain

  7. this is what you get when you legally ALLOW cops to lie. They can't stop. Even though he didn't have to make ANYTHING up, his ego wouldn't allow him to disengage from the false narrative he put himself into. He was a sad little boy in a cop costume who was angry because no one would take him seriously, even in his big boy costume.

  8. Livestock laws can be pretty complicated in Texas, since they vary from county to county, but the owners of the cattle may have been legally obliged to limit access to the road. I believe some counties say that whenever livestock is on or crossing a roadway it must be "controlled". You can't have free-flowing traffic AND a controlled crossing. And even if it isn't a matter of this particular locality's laws, the cop showed that he's a complete idiot when it comes to livestock.

  9. The good ol’ boys were upset that the “good ol’ boy system” was not working for them that day. 😅

  10. Sounds to me like Mr Moses was dealing with a "lil richard " with a badge and a gun!, hey lil Rickey, you forgot whom you work for boy!

  11. if there was no bodycam and he told the embellished story to a Judge , the Judge would probably take his word over a ordinary citizen . thankfully bodycam footage was available

  12. Why does this disgraceful cop liar, have it in for farmer's? He spoke with disdain every time he mentioned Mr.Moses . There's no arguement to be made everything he said to everyone he said it to, he wants to portray himself as some type of hero and authority figure, that demands respect, while offering none. Well…..we all know the truth, thanks to him recording it for us . "Oh my it's officer "Blah Blah" a legend in his own mind" . Get your facts straight before you make a complete fool of yourself officer Blah Blah!! Don't you feel like a fool now that everything you said about the farmer's was not truthful or relevant which is very revealing and show poor morals and values unbecoming traits for an officer of the law.

  13. Ah yes, because cattle don't actually block traffic like vehicles do, especially when they are in a herd. I know I'd personally prefer to just be driving along and suddenly be dodging 1,000lb cattle on the road, instead of being warned at a safe distance by a vehicle parked with hazards or other lights going 🙄

  14. On FM roads in Texas ranchers and their livestock come first and foremost. I've blocked roads hundreds of times to push cattle, even blocked cops. They're designated FM for a reason, Farm to Market.
