  1. Car companies that are unlikely to return:

USA 🇺🇲: Pontiac, Mercury, Saturn, Oldsmobile.
    India 🇮🇳: Sipani, Badal.
    Germany 🇩🇪: Wartburg, Borgward.
    Sweden 🇸🇪: Saab Automobiles, NEVS.
    Japan 🇯🇵: Datsun, Scion.
England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿: Bedford, Austin, Rover, Morris, Triumph.
    Australia 🇦🇺: Holden.
    South Korea 🇰🇷: Daewoo.

  2. You were wrong about AMC. The original company was Nash Rambler. Also, you forgot to mention that many of the cars ie, Mercury. GMC. Pontiac and Plymouth we built in Canada.

  3. I've had 3 cars made by brands on this list – Oldsmobile, Mercury & Saturn. Got a lot of good miles out of 'em, particularly the Olds & the Saturn.

  4. I didn't know Saab was gone

For the well-known Oldsmobiles, I think the 442 would've been a much better choice than the Cutlass.

    They revived the Hummer? Why?

I didn't know Suzuki was done.

Scion is gone? Too bad. I loved the first generation xB. It was designed to resemble a customized GMC Safari, popular in Japan for drifting.

I've always wanted to see an original Checker. I didn't even see one when we were in Queens.

    Suzuki is gone?

  5. To save costs GM instructed SAAB engineers to use as many standard GM parts on the next model. The Swedish engineers ignored this instruction and it cost a fortune to just put the new vehicle into products and then very expensive to produce compared to it's competitors.

  6. I really enjoyed the presentation and the memories. I was remembering a couple other brands such as the Hudson and the Nash (which merge with Rambler).Nash was famous for it's car heater.

  7. Willys did not go out of business in 1955, they were bought out by Kaiser in 1953. The Willys name is pronounced 'Willis', not 'Willies'.

  8. One of my best friends loved and misses Saturn. I was never a huge fan of them as I thought they just GM’s version of a Toyota but still I feel that brand had so much potential too bad it was short lived
