McGovern Auto Group? Like in New England??? I bought a 2021 Subaru Legacy limited from the Newington New Hampshire McGovern Subaru location a few months ago, &a few weeks after, I was brushing something off the passenger seat, &got a splinter a GLASS in my finger! I looked around more, &found large pieces of class all around the passenger seat, in the glove box, &in the front dash speaker! I told the salesman&asked what happened&got a whole bunch of “that’s speculation” “the car fax is clean”. &only said he’d have his people clean it. I also tried canceling part of my extended warranty due to that, &still haven’t received the money back. Not happy at all with them.
The Audi dealer that’s right by where I work in Dallas literally had no Audis on the lot for a good part of the Spring. I remember they parked what I assume were either used nonAudi cars or employee cars in the front lots parked diagnonally and spread pretty far apart.
Hope this is the end of mishaps, too many special cars getting lost.
I work at a Porsche dealership in Colorado, and the effect was massive. Only towards mid October did we finally get some “available“ inventory units. And even then, they are trickling in. We went almost the entirety of 2022 without a new car available on the lot to sell. Not even a demo. Furthermore, if a car did arrive custom order or available, they have all been on stop sale. I have 62 cars on the ground right now and every single one of them is on stop sale for a different reason. Whether it’s from a Bose or Burmester Amp that is missing, to this week’s new thing which is the cars are arriving with no rear quarter glass… seriously. It’s quickly becoming a nightmare of where to park all of these cars where customers can’t see them and try to buy them or take delivery. It’s been one thing after another for two years now, and it’s been total chaos.
Just got the Ukraike part. Stop supporting politicians that support war!
Car driving season
What a horrible shipping service. I understand the one that caught on fire but the one that couldn't handle rough seas like….what the heck dude, these ships are supposed to be able to handle that….you're crossing the freaking ocean rough seas are to be expected….who designs these ships my God….horrible designs.
That sucks man. Imagine being Porsche and losing all that inventory. Having their customers all be insanely pissed. Effects so much and so many people. Crazy. Nobody gets made whole from this. Maybe Porsche on the back end in a year or 2 from now when all the next cars coming in will be 2-3x more because of this. They will eventually get their money back of course.
Where did you find the picture of the firemen inside Felicity Ace? I want to see more. My POV was in there.
HAHAHAHA! Electric cars are the future!
Rich people problems…🤦🏻♂️
What’s the tune get you? How much power?
Dude was lied to. Hus car was delivered on time but in the hands of 1 of barak obamas daughters hands
05:20 I assume all those cars are being or will be sent directly to the scrap yard to be destroyed by the insurance to avoid liability.
I don't think they will pop at Copart, as far as I know they get destroyed ASAP.
Could be worse: I had a Macan S we ordered for my wife on the Felicity Ace, and then my GT4 was on the SFL Composer. Two cars destroyed.
This is old news yet again another article packaged trying to be relevant…we are not idiots Vin Wiki
The Felicity Ace was headed into Quonset, RI which is about 2 miles from where my house is and I heard about this. I drove through Quonset all of the time and see lots filled with crazy amounts of Porsches, Audis, Bentley, VW, Alfa Romeo, etc. After the boat burnt down I have never seen the lots so empty. All that was in the Porsche lot was about 30 SUVs and maybe 5-6 911’s. Usually there are about 7000-8000 of them it was absolutely insane to see acres of empty parking lots and then I heard about the ship catching on fire. All summer the lot was basically empty and it is finally beginning to fill back up. They were so empty Amazon leased part of there parking space for they’re vans lmaooo.
Actually, I DO feel sorry for you that the first car was wrecked at sea.
Why should I indulge in schadenfreude, simply because you are in a more financially advantageous position in life than I am, with my $950 beater Isuzu Hombre as the best I can do? I hope the second Porsche arrives safely, and that you enjoy it thoroughly!
Makes LZ’s GT3 wreck even more painful
In Europe you can have them delivered by ship, all manufacturers allow you to collect from Plant car was made some manufacturers bring cars all the way through channel tunnel so come all the way on trains obviously I'm on about UK delivery.
Not to mention we've lost 3 ro-ro's in the last two years.(golden ray) We need to repeal the Jones act and let other ships start delivering things!
Oh my gosh really that's terrible I think I'm going to set up a crowd funding page and a charity because this is just too much. These poor poor people who just wanted a summer car to flip for double I can't imagine how it must feel to have life choices that could hurt my feelings that much.
Fingers crossed I'll have a chance soon.
It's a good day when a bunch of Porsche's are destroyed.
Thank you for sharing this story I work for Audi and it's been a huge burden to industry everything allot of people don't know this is happening 😓
To save 28 k???
The S alone is worth more in the used market, let alone tuning a car will depriciate the car.
😐
Bro i'm dirt poor and have never even ridden in a porsche because i only see about 5 a year, even living 10 minutes from Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, i just never see them. I do build about 100 a year on Porsches website, so i do understand building a Porsche exactly the way you want it, and never getting it..i get that, but you will get it someday. Not only do i still feel bad for you but i'm also heartbroken that so many works of art were destroyed. You would think they wouldn't ship cars during storm season, unless they needed and insurance write off.
They are ships, not Boats.
Sad for everyone .
Every week a ship with Porsches sails from Germany to USA… So it happened to bo your car on the ship… all other 50 sailing went perfect.
You are making drama out of this, like its the only vessel per year that sails with Porshces and Lambos etc…
Don't "ship" cars! Dur.
I feel sorry for the poor bastards at sea who risk their lives for not much money so rich people can have fancy cars. The others can wait a few months extra and get their toys.
I feel his pain. I also lost a car on the Felicity Ace earlier this year, a custom built Audi RS E-Tron GT I had ordered the year prior. A neighbor of mine also had a Bentley on that boat. There wasn't 5000 cars on that boat, as the guy says in the video, there was a tick under 4000, but close to 300 million dollars in vehicles in total from normal production vehicles to high end Lambos, Bentleys and Audis. As luck would have it, I ordered the car back in April of 2021, it was originally slated for production in week 40 and got pushed back to week 47 or 48 due to chip shortages. It finished production in mid-December, and ultimately shipped on the boat that sunk in March. Talk about luck. Audi did send an immediate replacement, but it wasn't the custom color I ordered with the Year One Option Package. Apparently, that package was no longer available. Luckily, Audi did me a serious solid and built the car the exact same way I had originally ordered it, special order color (Velvet Violet Pearl), and the Year One Package and built it in a matter of a few months, which it did ship successfully. Being a long term and loyal customer of Audi has definitely has its benefits, and the dealership also got a solid since they got to sell my replacement car that Audi sent immediately. I guess win-win, but that had to have been a painful loss for VAG to lose 300 million dollars in cars, let alone the trickle down effect to the dealers, and owners who special ordered their vehicle. Apparently, in addition to the boat the interviewee explained in the video, there was another boat that lost several thousand VAG vehicles, including Porsche's, back in 2019. I guess stuff like this always happens in threes.
When are we going to ban EV's… they are a danger to the world economy and environment! Enough already! This whole Climate Change movement is a complete SCAM!!! Never seen a parked, cold combustion engined car spontaneously combust.
The fire on that boat literally negated any carbon footprint savings from every EV produced for the next 11 years. Someone did some rough math on the topic.
