Well, actually, normies didn't like The Strokes.
the white stripes were better
Current pop stars like Billie Eilish and Olivia rodrigo have cited the strokes as inspiration, the strokes basically paved the way for all good rock music in the 00’s and even 2010’s
The car commercial part hahaha
Lasssssstt night! She saiddddd! Loved the strokes before I got into metal. They always looked fresh outta a thrift store and looked cool as fuck. Good call Finn!
“These songs are still used in car commercials” can we rename the garage rock revival “car commercial rock” or “car rock”
Proof ROF was their worst album. It ruined them and watching the movie you could tell they had no fun making it.
FIOE should have been their 2md album.
Angles should have released in 2006-2008, it just came behind of the times.
Comedown machine is sloppy but it's an awesome lyrical album. Call it fate call it karma is genius.
Tyranny was ahead of it's time.
Human sadness is again lure genius …the millennial or gen z Bohemian rhapsody.
Interpol was and still is far superior to The Strokes.
Eh, I would argue that The White Stripes album White Blood Cells was more impactful and normalized garage rock to a larger degree, but those two albums came out within a month of one another apparently.
Awesome Short! Congratulations on All your achievements Finn!
The Bronx are better and are still touring…
$0.02
YEAH the strokes
I think my chem was the last time somewhat aggressive rock was mainstream.
This guy talking like the strokes was some crazy punk band
Me: casually vibing to them next to arctic monkeys and cage the elephant all the time
The Strokes is probably the biggest band who I only know one song from. This kind of music is totally up my alley, but as far as the strokes go I never got into them. One of my favorite bands of all time, a New York City club band called The Honorary Title, was definitely influenced by them, but better haha. You gotta get into alternative and indie Finn! You don't even have to call it indie. I know you secretly jam out to bright eyes.
Ever heard of "HURT"?
I guess you could you don't like them because there's different strokes for different folks
my nibba Finn really edited all the parts he shits on Indie rock out
One of the best band ever <3
I love the strokes
The Millennial generation’s “Nevermind,” basically.
No they did not
