9. Great story! Yes it’s all connected. Fun Fact… Oprah had a red BMW 8 series in storage at perillo BMW, this was at this old storage at Broadway street where they would keep the Saabs. There must have been a situation because they left the car parked on the top level by a pipe near an opening. Pigeons would always defecate on her car and it was there for two years. She had money for storage so I never understood why the business did that to her. Merry Christmas I guess.

15. Six degrees of separation. I grew up watching "Richard Sher and Oprah Winfrey" on a small, Baltimore talk show before she moved to Chicago and blew up. As a die-hard Motorweek viewer from the beginning, I also remember Lauren on the show and I personally handed John Davis the keys to a new Miata for use on Motorweek when I was GM at the Owings Mills Mazda store. Three flashbacks in one video! Really enjoyed this one Ed.

30. When the Oldsmobile Achieva debuted introducing the all new quad four (POS) we had a ride and drive to learn all about the cars driving through the pylons and have marketing breakouts.
    After the marketing introduction we went to the large open auto auction car lot and started driving the car around through the pylons and they had spread sand on the blacktop to try out the anti-lock brakes systems.
    I was really bored with these New vehicle introductions and parking lot pylon driving experiences.
    I had a nervous rookie employee of the company riding in the in the Achieva and as I drove I sped up I yanked up the emergency break and did a 180 and promptly got sent back to my new car dealership. Gary Uftring the dealer principal now owns about eight stores is worth a ton of money chewed me out.
    Little further information, five years later when the 97 Corvette was introduced at Firebird raceway in Phoenix the same Dealer took me and one other guy out there to pound them for three days with IndyCar drivers. Now that was not boring.
