0:00 Intro
0:05 This is how the serpentine belt should have been routed.
https://bit.ly/3RC76cx
Since it was installed incorrectly it caused the water pump to spin backward. It was also the technician who removed the fan shroud. It came in with it on.
Instead of pumping the hot coolant out of the engine past the thermostat to cool the coolant in the radiator, the water pump will force the cold coolant out of the radiator towards the thermostat causing it to close so no coolant enters the hot engine to cool it off.
0:28 Since the brake hose is twisted the brake fluid won’t “flow” as it should and most likely kept the brakes engaged which got them very hot. The brakes were also so hot they melted the grease out of the lower ball joint.
0:38 McDonald’s straw was in the way. Removed and the tray now closes.
0:48 Truck had no fuel in it.
0:59 If the serpentine belt is broken off, the alternator won’t be able to charge the battery which caused all the issues the customer was having.
Sometimes they fall off due/break due to age, but it can also be caused by a bad pulley.
1:12 As mentioned the customer used washers since they didn’t have the correct wheels that were the correct bore size to fit their vehicle.
The customer could have got hub-centric rings to fix that issue.
1:24 Customer got new tires installed.
1:33 The customer got a new lower control arm + alignment before leaving.
1:41 The customer’s friend installed the sticker as a joke.
1:51 The customer damaged the sub-frame and power steering rack.
2:03 A/C Compressor wasn’t being used, so the technician was surprised why they just didn’t remove it. Also, you can see the customer used some wiring connectors that aren’t meant to be used on a vehicle’s electrical system.
2:12 The technician said: “Nissan Pathfinder Customer came in for both rear doors not opening. exterior handles diagnosed by customers’ google searching. Replaced handles as requested. We found both lock modules to have failed. Rotting pizza and other food in the footwells and around the children’s booster seats.”
2:28 The technician said: “We couldn’t turn it by hand so yeah, plugs and coils out and turned it over with no compression. The intercooler was also full of water. After we got all the water out we wanted to see if it would fire and it has a bent rod.”
2:42 The technician said: “the noise and issues were confirmed to be another failed/defective transmission which damaged the clutch and flywheel, as far as I know, there are still issues with the Manual 5 Speed PSA Group transmissions. It started off with it jumping out of 5th to neutral and then 5th gear was missing, only for the other gears to become the same as neutral. Car was recently returned to the dealer with electrical faults at only 7300 miles / 11748 kilometres.”
3:03 “I was under the truck changing the oil when it started to roll down the driveway and I managed to stay under it and not get hurt.”
I think the guy somehow took the truck out of park when he was underneath. He most likely was doing something with the shift linkage going to the transmission and took it out of gear.
3:16 Outro. Thanks for watching!

I hope some of these are reported to the cops if they refuse to have things fixed…they are death wagons!
15 years ago I was changing the oil in one of my cars when it slipped off the stands. I was ok but I got pinned by the bumper cover to the ground. I had to lay there until someone walked by and could get the jack and lift the car up. I still laugh about it, but always chock your wheels.
Years ago a lady called in to a radio show, the segment was about dumb things your partner has done. Hubby has spent years restoring his vehicle, and when the moment came to start it up he couldn't work out why it wouldn't fire up. After he had stripped the engine back down, he realized that he hadn't put any fuel in the tank.
0:54 "I know what's wrong with it–it ain't got no gas in it!"
Question: do you think the last fellow that had his truck roll over him learn anything??
OH GOOD GOD…..WHAT A BUNCH OF MOPHEAD CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH. GIVE THEM ALL A LOOSER SIGN TO POST ON THEIR FOREHEADS!!!!!
No tech in my shop is required to work on a vehicle if the interior resembles a public landfill. Positively disgusting!
Those vehicles that come in filled with trash….. Man, that's disgusting. How can people live like that? They probably don't even shower.
that last one should buy a lotto ticket
New tires, replacement steering, replacement lower arm, and the oil changing guy either didn't put the transmission in park and set the emergency break plus chaulking the rear wheels, or he has more problems than the need of an oil change.
Semi-related to the last one but sadder ending: When I was a kid a neighbor used cinder blocks as jack stands. They worked long enough for him to place his head directly below the rear differential. He was killed instantly when the car fell.
people really will turn on a light in their car then bring it into the shop because it's not turned off
Most water pumps are centrifugal, I'm surprised it made a difference, at least enough to overheat. Last time I had an overheating problem, it was a plugged convertor.
Also, that factory fan shroud performs a function, in case anyone was curious.
(edit) nevermind, mechanical fan, that's why. Reminds of of a story a mechanic I knew told me, overheating, customer installed electric fan, he stood in front of the car, and the fan was blowing his pant back, lol.
Watching these videos is depressing. I am making a fraction of what I should be if morons like these can afford some of these cars.
Always chock your wheels
So I've discovered your channel and I'm enjoying the content. Right now, every time I watch a video, my number one reaction is always "what the fuck".
I mean, that should not happen when changing your oil…. But still, everybody, chock the damn wheels. I know its tedious but come on. I don’t care how big and strong you think you are. Your truck will kill you. Its not sentimental.
3:03 welp he fucked up his transmission because he didn't use his e brake
I think people should have to pass some sort of intelligence test before they can buy a car.
Just think some of these stupid people went to college and have a degree. Instead of drug testing, we need brain testing.
The guy didn't get hurt until he tore his rotator cuffs and slipped a disc when trying to stop the truck from rolling.
F=MA
Love this chan. Always get a laugh how some people try to the work on their car and then have bring it to the shop to fix their screw up. Back yard mechanics.
These car owners have zero knowledge when it comes to the physical workings of the world and anything in it. It's absolutely scary for the rest of us.
On TV show..Married with children..Al Bundy would go home and complain about his shoe customers..
I can only imagine you having days like that!
"A moron pushed his burning Ford Pinto into the shop today…complaining about the radio…….."
You should write a comic book style serial.
lol the 208 sounded like it was screaming
I'm a shade tree mechanic. But I know my limitations on vehicle repairs. But I know the difference between right and wrong.
Having watched a lot of your clips , Being a retired mechanic here in the uk it amazes me to think what the customer of the vehicles do for jobs !! And I wouldn’t want them anywhere near me ,they don’t seem to have a brain?
These things are so obvious but then my cars I check everything, change everything eventually give up and take it to a mechanic and it still doesn't drive right lol
