I remember going there for truck parts
Italian.? I didn't know organized crime owed it. Well I will never buy a Ford again.
I was a Ford man but I will ever buy a car from them! I have seen quality drop so bad!
Lincoln’s are now a joke to me!
Recall champions!
I had to pause at 1:34 and awe at those early 2000s car prices..
I knew this dealership and competed with them for years and then as a vendor… Great people and a team… The day they lost the Oval was a huge shock to the area… Still pass by and think about the history…
All brought to you by the US gov.
Auto dealerships will be THE major reason that the OEMs will be unable to compete with Tesla in the EV world – causing ALL of the OEMs and dealerships to go bankrupt.
You know who else Ford was good to? Hitler……
John Deere did a similar thing to us. Henry and John wouldn’t like to see what their companies have become.
They damn sure should hold ford to the coals for this it's bs
The attitude of a champion.
the family auto business has become a thing of the past, how sad
Sorry your dealership died, but, there were so many car dealerships closed,by OBAMA,SOUR GRAPES,`FOR PEOPLE WHOM DID NOT CONTRIBUTE TO HIS CAMPAIGN,WHEN,IT STARTED INNJ
I could not understand what was going on,but it was obvious in time, it mattered not, what brand. BTW,THE worlds OLDEST FORD DEALER IS KIG,,,KINGSTON INDUSTRIAL GARAGE,
IN JAMAICA WI,,,,,,,🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The small dealership I bought my last 4 Fords off lost their franchise, now sell Mazda & Kia.
Same thing happened to our Chevrolet dealer in our county in the early 2000. Had been doing business with them for ever. It was always pleasant experience. Now I'd rather have a root canal with no pain killer than to go to one of the mega dealers where I have to fight over the end price from the time I set foot on their lot.
I didn't expect the reason to be an untimely death in the family. I expected it to be someone with an "issue" against the dealership and hired lawyers to sue the dealership for more money than they ever could legitimately expect to make from that dealership. 🧐😟😮😱
Wow, I went to Northwood back in 1970-1972. (got drafted right after that) My family had a Chevy dealership from 1948-1985 in Western Mass. in the Berkshires. know the feeling. Bill
2008 and 2009 sucked for a lot of us. I had work for a construction company for many years and was one of their Aces. When bear Stearns went down they were selling off all their Earth moving equipment. Because of my knowledge, I was able to become a traveler. And take jobs away from other people in other cities in Michigan. Turned out to be one of the most ugliest things I've ever seen.
Seems to me that Ford laid off the wrong group of people. It's the developers who created the problems,. Untrained quality control testers weren't able to detect and report the problems. just my two cents….
They did the same thing with implement dealers if you didn't want to get deep in debt you were out of business
I would have loved to buy my expedition from your dealership.
You must be a Republican because many Republican-run dealerships were closed by Obama, whereas most Democrat-run dealerships were allowed to stay open!
Leave it to the third or fourth generation to destroy the family business
Being an Italian from Wareham, Ma this story warms my car heart.
When u come from Italy u start a business lol when everything was given to u tell that part
Of course you did.
Of course you did.
Someone has to be accountable for this happening. Trust me!
My short attention span doesn't help me finish too many videos but this video is an exception. Very well done. Thank you.
Nowadays 90% of the car salesmen give the rest of them a bad name.
Great story and I can relate .
I started in the business selling cars and worked my way through the management seats up to GM , 2 buy sells and running a high line store for one of the major consolidated companies.
Could not buy in and eventually new leadership came in and started weeding out GM’s they didn’t hire and I was one .
Eventually parted company. In my 50’s then and could see the trend they wanted young guys they could pay less . That one hurt .
Always maintained profitability and great CSI . Low turnover in associates .
Had some great years but wish it would have been with a private group in my hay day .
Life goes on ….
There weren't any Fords produced in 1944. War was on.
Dealers are lowlife thieves. I have personally met many of them. Scum bags. They make way too much money. That is part of the reason cars are so costly.
how sad that your family business was destroyed by corporate America and the government . if anyone remembers that era obama fired the head of general motors and gave Chrysler corpoation to Fiat a Italian car company , not to get political but who made him king . no doubt he probably tried to fire Henry Ford too. i worked for several Ford dealers back in the day they all struggled and in my area i think only one of the original family ownes dealers from back than survived.
By not doing something about the high markup, that Ford dealerships have been putting on the F-150 Lightning, I canceled my order. Looks like either Ford or their dealerships will fuck you one way or another.
